The impact of your bid

Women perform up to 70% of manual coffee labor, yet face significant barriers to leadership. Your support directly transforms grassroots labor into sustainable business ownership across Costa Rica.

IWCA's donation portal carries a fund designated to this chapter in Costa Rica:

Global Market Access

Connecting female specialty coffee producers directly to international buyers, exporters, and roasters, bypassing middleman pricing.

Portable Cupping Labs

Funding mobile quality-control labs across Costa Rica’s coffee regions so women producers can evaluate quality and command fair market prices.

Technical & Leadership Training

Providing workshops in farm management, coffee cupping, roasting, and business administration to build long-term economic independence.

When Women Succeed, Communities Thrive!

Women from IWCA chapters now compete at the Cup of Excellence, serve on national and international juries, and win national championships. It time to bid for them!

Empowering Women Across the Coffee Chain

Transforming manual labor into economic leadership through technical training, business skills, and market access for women in Costa Rican coffee

The Seed is Planted

Co-founded in 2003 by women from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and the US. The IWCA established its Costa Rican chapter in 2005 as a pioneering network empowering women in coffee.

Bridging the Skill Gap

An association of women across the whole value chain (producers, processors, roasters, exporters, traders, baristas, cuppers) from every coffee-growing region of Costa Rica. They describe their purpose plainly: to strengthen the soft skills, technical abilities and business management of women in Costa Rican coffee.

Every Region, Every Role

They are one of more than thirty chapters across six continents, with four regional coordinators connecting them. The chapter network is how a woman in Tarrazú ends up on an international Cup of Excellence jury.

Every Bid
Brews a Brighter Future.

Every dollar directly supports technical tools, education, and business mentorship.
